Popcorn chicken


Ingredients (serves 3)

300g chicken breast sliced into bite sized pieces

¼ cup milk

1 egg

¼  cup flour

½  cup bread crumbs

1 tsp dried herbs

1 tsp paprika




Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 220℃.

  2. Slice chicken into bite size pieces.

  3. Pour the milk into a pyrex jug.

  4. Add the chicken pieces into the jug and put the jug in the fridge for 5 minutes to marinade the chicken.

  5. Take out three small bowls. Measure the flour into the first small bowl, crack the egg into the second small bowl and measure the  breadcrumbs into the third small bowl. Place the bowls in a row on the bench.

  6. Whisk the egg with a fork.

  7. Add dried herbs and paprika into the bread crumbs and mix well.

  8. Put a couple of chicken pieces in the flour, coat and shake off excess.

  9. Next, dip the chicken into the egg mixture and coat thoroughly.

  10. Finally, put the chicken into the breadcrumbs and coat thoroughly.

  11. Place coated chicken on a baking tray and repeat the process for the remaining chicken.

  12. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and chicken is no longer pink in the middle.

  13. Carefully remove from oven and serve.
